Dr. Ether here from Namco Museum Online, reporting in with a fun little curiosity: So I hit the kill-screen in the 1995 Namco Museum Vol. 1 version of Pac-Man a few minutes ago.
There was a bit of mystery surrounding whether or not this port contained a kill-screen on level 256 like in the original Pac-Man (some newer ports fix it), and I put that to rest. Screenshotted and subsequently animated for posterity and future reference.
There are some differences when compared to the killscreen level in the original arcade though: namely, you don’t actually get to play this level at all like you could in the arcade version. This version resets to the boot-up test and subsequently the title screen where it no longer acknowledges ANY of your button inputs, meaning you have to reset the Playstation.
